This is now.
We installed this tank to complete the requirements of a grant we received from Triangle Clean Cities and our State Energy Office. It too has been off grid since the day it was installed.
We weren’t sure this would be a permanent location, but it has drawn a community of users that are now dependent on it, so it appears it will stay.
We built this shed out of straw bales, and put a cob finish on it. It is an off-grid setup that has performed beautifully. You can read more about this setup in an article about it in Home Power.
Below is some data logging that Don did that shows our fuel stayed at happy temperatures–even on some cold mornings…
