Print Publications

I’ve been publishing Energy Blog since September of 2003, when I found blogging to be a good way to keep in touch with the students in the renewable energy class Rachel and I were teaching.

  • By now Energy Blog contains over five hundred entries, on everything from BTUs to policy to family vacations. Along the way I have also started publishing off-blog.
  • I write a column for the Chapel Hill News, which is a community newspaper that is part of the giant News and Observer empire. Past columns can be found here.
  • My contributions to the Chatham County Line, can be found here.
  • I sometimes write magazine articles as well.
  • I send in columns to Frankie at biodieselSmarter when he is going to press.
  • And I wrote a book, Biodiesel Power, about our early biodiesel experiences. It was published by New Society, and can be purchased online from the coop.
  • Now the Research and Development division of Piedmont Biofuels has started publishing in the academic space. Look here for more on our Research Publications.

If you are a media mogul, looking for a writer to provide expensive content, you are in the right place. If you are a reader, interested in biodiesel, local economy, and ideas about sustainability, help yourself. It’s free.
